Java String Calculate MD5

Here is a quicky one. I was surprised to see that when i needed a quick way to calculate the MD5 hash of a string it was not in the java.lang.String class. I know things with Java have to be well structured and since MD5 is a hashing algorithm it is fairly logical to be in the security package. On the other hand i think a quick md5 method should be in the String class but that’s just my humble oppinion. Anyways here is how it’s done the Java way....

Link Harvest fix for WP 2.5

Recenlty i found out about the great job that Alex King does with wordpress plugins. All of them are very usefull and very helpfull indeed. I downloaded the link harvest plugin which actually collects all the links from your posts and sums them up on a nice list. He did a great job on that one. rtorrent won’t seed

Just a quickie here. I installed rtorrent on my local network on a Debian machine. I would enter a torrent, it would start downloading fine but it wouldn’t upload! Port forwarding on the router is not enough. To be exact it is enough but the port protocol should be UDP instead of TCP. That’s the trick! Hope it saves you some searching...
