Two days in tripolis where enough for me to remember all the good ole days. The “three’s company” was all together again beeing crazy and funny. Andrew, Elijah and i had some fun. Also we had to take two tests, but hey we were all together, who cares about the reason! Explaining numerical analysis (me who knows almost nothing), trying to finish some work, java programming, sql querying and last but not least, playing poker! All and all two nice, relaxing days…
As i posted before i migrated stratosector.net from e107 to Joomla. I finished installing a couple of days ago. One of the major reasons of the migration was that the site became too slow from time to time. I thought it was the CMS. So, when more problems came around i thought about Joomla. You know the story. I was migrating the past few days. When i was done it was a bit slow but i thought it might be a peak time for the server (i have a godaddy hosting).. But i’ve been checking out the past couple of days and it is always slow one way or another. So guys, do you see it beeing slow or is it just me???
Tomorow evening i’m heading back to Tripolis. For those who know me, they know this is the murder scene for me. I’ve been studying Computer Science there the past 4 years and i had a pretty good time i must admit. I am heading there to take exams on two lessons on the fall samester, Databases and Calculus. It’s gonna be two hard days for me. Moreover the street should be snowy and i might have some trouble there too. So, cross your fingers and… wish me luck!

Well Syberia has given us some trouble. A cold weather has come down all the way from Russia and now it’s snowing like crazy. Everything has gone below zero and life is getting a bit harder. Water is coming in, in drops. Air conditioning has frozen, causing it to start and stop once in a while and generaly problems keep coming up. But hey, let it snow! It will take about 24hrs more snow till it calmes down and the forecast says it will be a sunny Tuesday. Hard to believe but since they say so i hope it is so. Anyways back to buissness and stuff and as the song goes:
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
So here we are… StratoSector has steped into another era. It is now officialy powered by Joomla! As it came out, it was not a lossless migration. As a matter of fact many things will be lost for now, and some of them might be recovered in a later state. But, what counts is that the site has changed and is moving forward. (more…)
