The theme that i had was not something that realy made my day. I found this one, with some cool effects too (try dragging the widgets on the right nice huh?) and i thought i’d change, hoping to be the last time i do so. Guys, bare with me. Things are the same but the look. Ah! One more thing. I added the click comment on the bottom of each post. I think it is a cool and very timeless way of letting me know how you like my posts. I was thinking for weeks that the next article on the hardcores or masochists series should be an article on the samba protocol. I know it is complicated but, i thought that, if i posted some info on the protocol, just some hints on how it works then i would be happy for the effort. About a year and a half ago, i started coding my CMS, Jasmine. It was a combination of experience on several CMS’s like the nukes, e107, joomla and jupiter (which i was sad to see close a few months ago). I was (and maybe still am in a way) an inexperienced php coder and i was still trying to find my way around. So, as it was natural, i fell for the most serious errors in coding, sql injection and remote file inclusion. Here, i will try to explain in short what happened and how to avoid it. (more…)
Here i am again… The tradition of the “hardcores or masochists” series keeps going on. Now, i am onto the simple authorization of the http. You must have used an .htaccess file before to protect some folder from the public. You must have also read the apache documentation that says this is not safe and you should not use it to keep data extremely safe. Here is how it works… (more…)
