@Larry: I have released an update v1.1 that includes this fix. It was not because of the WP version but of the design of the plugin. Please check it out and let me know if there are any problems. Thanks for reporting back to me!

YAfootnote works OK but there is one problem I have using WordPress 2.8 – If the footnote is anything but a simple unformatted text, it is left in the text of the message and not hidden. The footnote appears as does the link at the footnote number.

If the foot note has paragraphs, is a list, etc. the footnote is not hidden in the text.

I already had 2.8 working before I tried YAfootnote, so I don’t know if it is the version of WordPress

It could make sense to add a feature like this:

First paragraph{{1}}.
Second paragraph{{2}}.
Third paragraph{{1}}.
[[1]]First note.[[1]]
[[2]]Second note.[[2]]

The note on the third paragraph should link to the already existing first note.

I told you i was keen on doing some work My last contact with him cleared a few bugs and stuff and i think it is going to suit his needs now. I am waiting on a new mail but i thought that since it seems functional i should make a first release and if anything is found and changed i’ll just update. I am really glad i worked with him too!

That was fast! I’m so glad you and Mike worked together to create this plugin. I haven’t tested it as I don’t have a need for footnotes but I can’t wait to hear what Mike has to say about it.
