Have you ever faced a locked down XP that you cannot remember any password (not even admins)? Need to reset your password for your windows account? - Download Hiren’s bootable 9.5 cd from here.
- Burn the cd with your favorite burning program (do not forget to make it bootable)
- Boot your computer from the cd.
- Choose any option from the screen!

I’ve used software like this in the past (but I don’t remember the exact name of the “rescue suite”)…
Anyway, it’s really useful but I have to say that I DO love the HDD format and then a brand new installation!…
On the other hand, if it’s a hardware error (just like mine), I did try to recover the files but from another computer…
You know, these situations are quite complicated and have a lot of trouble…
well it is rather a rescue bootable compilation disc rather a suite. and about the clean format i agree totaly with you but sometimes you have to check out the hardware or make a backup on the same pc. anyways every tool has it’s use. if you need it you know where to find it 😉
